erlestoke prison
KSD have successfully completed the decoration works to Erlestoke Prison for Kier Western. The works comprised of a new build block of 134 cells and associated communal and administrive areas. Despite our program period being drastically reduced due to earlier issues with the concrete frame, we were still able handover our works on program. At times we had 20 plus men working on site and weekend and evening works were a regular occurrence. Despite the difficult working conditions we won awards for our approach to on site Health and Safety and our site based supervisor was awarded employee of the month by Kier Westerns site management team.
This is the fourth prison project we have completed in as many years and continues to highlight our ability to work within the constraints imposed upon us in these demanding working environments.
